I
solve problems. I draw from 25+ years of experience that includes software
troubleshooting and training, research, data analysis, web design, consulting
and writing. A Microsoft MVP
since 1994, I specialize in Microsoft applications, including Microsoft Word and
Microsoft Outlook. I design and conduct software training programs, teach people how to use
software effectively and efficiently, coach people in effective writing
techniques and I write for technical and lay audiences. My experience
includes expert witness in EEO and compensation litigation, criminal justice
research, econometrics, labor economics, real estate analysis and sales,
music, and more. I
have an interdisciplinary Ph.D., drawing from economics, education, labor and
industrial relations, the law and sociology, with an emphasis on quantitative
methods using SPSS, SAS, Excel, and other tools.
I write computer books, magazine articles, software manuals, and training materials, mostly about Microsoft applications and operating systems. For ten years, I wrote the twice-monthly Working Smarter with Microsoft Word and Working Smarter with Microsoft Outlook for One On One Computer Training.
I do statistical/technical analysis, writing and editing. Clients (direct and indirect) have included Economic Systems, Inc., Macro ORC, Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Defense, Department of Labor, Department of Justice, CVS, JC Penney, the World Bank, and others.
